This stack may be simplest play in basketball. By far, it is one the most effective B.O.B strategies against zones.
1. The primary scoring option is the 3rd player in the stack (5) Ideally, 5 is long and can finish around the basket.
2. The first player in the stack (2) should be the strongest perimeter shooting threat.
3. The second player (4) is a screener and should be the biggest player available.
4. The player at the back of the stack (1) acts as a safety.
2 pops to the corner, idealy bringing the baseline defender in the zone (X3) with him. The better a shooter that 2 is, the more likely it is that the defense will follow him.
4 steps into the middle of the zone, screening the first man he finds as hard as he can.
5 simply steps into the hole for a pass from 3 and a layup, as shown.
