Biography
Mike Harkins is the former head basketball coach of Eastern Montana College (now Montana State University Billings). In 15 seasons at Eastern Montana, his teams won 295 games, 10 NAIA district titles, and 12 conference championships. He also coached four teams in international competition. In 1973, he was head coach of the World Games in Rio de Janeiro. Harkins also served as a professor of health, physical education, and recreation at Eastern Montana College, where he received the college's award for outstanding achievement in scholarship and creativity. In addition, he was awarded Akron University's Distinguished Alumni Award in 1987. He retired from active coaching in 1976. Harkins currently resides in Billings, Montana, with his wife, Grace.
Jerry Krause is the director of men's basketball operations at Gonzaga University. Highly regarded as an exceptional teacher of the fundamentals of basketball, Krause has authored 13 instructional coaching books on basketball. For more than two decades, he has been extensively involved professionally in the activities of the coaching/rules organizations of both the NCAA and the NAIA. In his renowned career, he has been honored numerous times for his efforts as a coach, educator, and administrator.
