Biography
  • Shawn Nelson is the head women’s basketball coach at Carroll College, in Helena, Montana, a position he assumed in 2003. Since assuming the reins of the Fighting Saints’ program, he has led his teams to a 141-30 overall record. In 2007-2008, his team led the country in 3-point percentage shooting for the fourth straight year. A 1996 graduate of Carroll College, Nelson began his coaching career as an assistant men’s basketball coach at his alma mater—a position he held for seven seasons. During his tenure at the helm of the women’s program, his teams have broken and set numerous individual and team records.

      I think Marvin would have to go 8-8 or worse, Marvin would have to want out, or Mike Brown would have his eye on Cowher or Gruden. Mike Brown didn't extend Marvin besauce his value was at a high point. If Marvin doesn't do as well, then his value goes down and he's either replaced or signed for less. Marvin wins the division in back to back seasons, his value goes up, but then maybe any doubts in Mike Brown's mind have been quieted. Also, 2 big names in coaching may be available next year, teams willing to pay big money are going after Cowher and Gruden, so even if the Bengals have a great season, demand for Marvin will not be as high.
