Biography
Jerry Krause is the director of men's basketball
operations at Gonzaga University. Highly regarded as an exceptional
teacher of the fundamentals of basketball, Krause has authored 13
instructional coaching books on basketball. For more than two decades,
he has been extensively involved professionally in the activities of
the coaching/rules organizations of both the NCAA and the NAIA. In his
renowned career, he has been honored numerous times for his efforts as
a coach, educator, and administrator.
Ralph Pim
is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Education at
the United States Military Academy at West Point. He serves as the
director of instructional administration and is a basketball sport
educator. Pim has coached and taught basketball at the secondary and
collegiate levels for thirty years. As a collegiate head coach, Pim
built Alma (MI) College and Limestone (SC) College into highly
successful programs. His Alma teams were ranked nationally for points
scored and three-point field goals, and the 1989 squad recorded the
school's best overall record in forty-seven years. He also coached at
Central Michigan, William and Mary, Northwestern Louisiana, and
Barberton (OH) High School. Barberton won the 1976 Ohio State
Championship and was selected the seventh best team in the country. Pim
spent ten years as the technical advisor for the Basketball Association
of Wales. He implemented training programs to facilitate the
development of basketball in the country of Wales and assisted with the
training of their national teams. Pim is the author of Winning
Basketball and co-editor of Coaching Basketball. He has written
numerous coaching articles and is a frequent contributor to the
Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Yearbook and Enshrinement Program. Pim
is a graduate of Springfield (MA) College. He earned his master's
degree from The Ohio State University and his doctorate from
Northwestern Louisiana State University.
