Basketball Drill: Post Cuts:

Procedure:
1. The post player cuts to the high post with a change of speed, change of direction cut and receives a pass from the post. 2. On the catch , the post player squares up and shoots a jump shot. 3. The post player rebounds his shot, passes out to the coach, and executes another change of speed, change of direction cut to the high post 4. The post player receives a pass from the coach, executes a front pivot, followed by a shot fake and drive to the basket. |

Coaching Points:
1. It is important for the player to fake in one direction, and to change both speed and direction on the cut. The floor should squeak on the cut. 2. The pump fake should be believable. the player should bring the ball up to the shoulder area and cock back both wrists to get the defense to react. |
